Christmas in July! Well, not really, but with the kids home from school, now is the PERFECT time to begin planning your holiday season. If your family is like mine, you LOVE to give homemade gifts, but time often gets away from you, and before you know it, Christmas is here, and you can’t accomplish as much as you’d like.
This year, use part of the summer to plan an amazing Christmas!
Start by making a holiday gift list of the most special people. Then, have the kids scout websites, such as instructables.com and familyfun.com to come up with great gift ideas.
In years past, our family has also planned a Stock Gift. This is something that we make in bulk for neighbors, teachers, and so on. We’ve made fudge, truffles, toffee, homemade hot cocoa, note cards, and handmade soap, among other things.
In the video link below, you will learn how to make a purse out of an old pair of jeans. Our Girl Scout troop did this one year, and they turned out fabulous. A GREAT gift idea!
